Field Account Manager - Redi Carpet

About the role

HD Supply is looking for a Field Account Manager for its Redi Carpet business unit. The role exceeds sales and profit targets in a designated territory by running sales and marketing programs and building short- and long-term sales strategies, while growing the business through new profitable accounts. It involves driving around the territory in a company or personal vehicle more than half the time, and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record is required.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sales and customer retention initiatives, and oversee sales planning, forecasting, reporting and competitive pricing tactics
• Create a sales call schedule and make face-to-face customer visits, handling objections and promoting value-added solutions
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified accounts using the company's CRM tool, and use cold calling to grow territory accounts
• Implement approved sales strategies and keep up with industry-specific product knowledge
• Use Salesforce reporting and data analysis to find growth opportunities, and review the customer portfolio to act on underperforming accounts
• Collaborate with inside sales and solve complex problems independently, with occasional project oversight

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field (5-8 years of experience, or 3-5 years with a master's degree)
• Business-to-business sales experience, including consultative or solution-based selling
• Proficiency with Salesforce
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record; overnight travel under 10%
