Experienced RN – Operating Room 8am‑6:30pm, Varying Start

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room at Akron General Medical Center. This full‑time position works days from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm with on‑call requirements and may have variable start times based on department needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care throughout the patient care journey, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Scrub and circulate for multiple service lines during a 6‑month orientation, with optional specialty rotations.
• Prepare equipment, instruments, sutures, and implants; anticipate surgical team needs and act as patient advocate.
• Maintain accurate documentation, medication administration, and ensure proper handling of surgical specimens.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and successful completion of mandatory clinical competencies annually.
• Physical ability to perform full range of motion, lift patients, and work under stressful conditions.
