Executive Director

About the role

The Executive Director will lead a well‑established community branch of a mission‑driven nonprofit focused on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Based in Greater Memphis, this full‑time, on‑site position reports to senior regional leadership and is responsible for overseeing program quality, facility management, and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for branch operations, ensuring programs are innovative and aligned with organizational goals.
• Drive membership and program growth while maintaining a best‑in‑class 55,000‑square‑foot facility.
• Recruit, develop, and inspire a high‑performing team of staff and volunteers.
• Manage a $2.5 million operating budget, forecasting, and financial controls to meet revenue and expense targets.
• Lead annual fundraising campaigns and broader philanthropic efforts, cultivating donor and community relationships.
• Partner with an advisory board and local government to strengthen volunteer engagement, board recruitment, and governance.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to advance strategic initiatives and model the organization’s core values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social services, business, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of senior‑level operations and leadership experience in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
• Proven ability to manage staff, programs, budgets, and community outreach.
• Experience developing volunteers and recruiting community leaders for advisory boards.
• Strong commitment to working with diverse populations.
