About the role

Join Ochsner’s Environmental Services team as a Floor Care Technician working day shifts (7:00 am‑3:30 pm) at the Ochsner St. Mary facility. Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, you will maintain patient, clinical, public and administrative areas.

Key responsibilities

Maintain VCT and carpet floors according to Environmental Services standards.
Clean and organize Environmental Services closets and equipment.
Assist with cleaning projects and support team tasks.
Ensure attendance, punctuality and professional appearance.

Required profile

Basic knowledge of VCT floor care and carpet floor care.
Ability to read, write and understand verbal instructions in English.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow directions.
Physical ability to lift 20‑50 lb occasionally and perform light‑to‑medium work.

Required skills

Experience operating environmental service equipment such as automatic scrubbers, battery burnisher, electrical burnisher, all‑purpose matador and carpet extractor.
Basic housekeeping and cleaning equipment knowledge.
