About the role
Runway is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and scale its engineering team during a critical growth phase. You will build a high‑performing team, set technical direction, and ship products that empower finance teams to become strategic partners.
Key responsibilities
- Hire, retain, and develop exceptional engineers while fostering a culture of high standards.
- Define and execute technical strategy alongside founders, making architectural decisions as needed.
- Increase shipping cadence, improve reliability, and reduce incidents.
Required profile
- Proven success building engineering teams at high‑growth startups (Series A to growth stage).
- Track record of improving team output, hiring velocity, and incident reduction.
- Strong full‑stack engineering background to serve as architectural tie‑breaker.
