About the role

The Endoscopy Technician supports physicians during gastrointestinal procedures, ensuring equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained. This position requires knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and strict adherence to infection control standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures.
  • Clean, disinfect, and perform quality control on endoscopes and related equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment and supplies.
  • Travel between facilities and adapt to flexible scheduling as needed.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Experience with endoscopic procedures preferred.
  • Ability to work in a patient care environment and handle exposure to blood and body fluids.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) certification within two years of hire (preferred).
