About the role

The Emergency Department Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse on the night shift at the Chabert Campus. This role supports nursing staff by performing technical tasks, documenting care, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with supervision of a registered nurse.
• Perform clinical duties as defined by departmental competency.
• Accurately document patient‑related tasks and maintain required certifications.
• Adapt communication and behavior to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
• Follow federal, state, and local regulations and hospital policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required upon hire.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
