Electronic Security Sales Account Executive

About the role

Johnson Controls Federal Systems is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Sales Account Executive to drive profitable growth of electronic security solutions for federal customers. The role is based in the Washington D.C. Metro or Norfolk, VA area and focuses on expanding market share across assigned territories.

Key responsibilities

• Increase market share by selling a broad range of Johnson Controls and OEM electronic security products and services to new and existing federal customers.
• Build and develop an account portfolio through prospecting, capture of competitive solicitations, and sales of security solutions via current and new contract vehicles.
• Drive recurring revenue by renewing and expanding maintenance and software support agreements.
• Act as Capture Manager for competitive solicitations, leading technical development, pricing, and proposal narratives.
• Collaborate with internal resources and field operations to ensure proper system application and capture customer feedback.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience selling electronic security systems (intrusion detection, access control, video surveillance); 10+ years preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills, with experience presenting to senior executives and military officials.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the Washington D.C. and Norfolk areas.
