Elder Law & Estate Planning Paralegal / Legal Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an entry‑level Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our Elder Law & Estate Planning department in Lake Success, NY. You will support attorneys handling asset protection, estate planning, administration, and litigation, ensuring high‑quality client service in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and summarize estate planning documents.
• Maintain and organize client files and records.
• Communicate with clients about case status and document collection.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Prepare spreadsheets and supporting materials.
• Handle e‑filing through NYSCEF.
• Provide general administrative and case support to attorneys.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a law firm.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients and attorneys.
• Proactive, team‑oriented attitude.
