Lien Resolution Team Lead

About the role

The Lien Resolution Team Lead oversees the function that determines how much of each settlement reaches injured clients. This remote, independent‑contract position manages a team of reductions and lien resolution specialists, handles the most complex lien files, and owns performance metrics such as reduction rate and settlement‑to‑disbursement time.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and evaluate a team of reductions and lien resolution specialists; assign files and run regular reviews.
• Track and report aggregate reduction percentages, dollars saved, aging, and settlement‑to‑disbursement turnaround.
• Negotiate high‑balance, high‑complexity reductions and resolve statutory and plan liens, including Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, TRICARE, VA, and hospital/provider liens.
• Maintain provider relationships and standing reduction arrangements; partner with attorneys to provide accurate lien exposure figures.
• Ensure client understanding of closing statements, accurate disbursements, and compliance with trust accounting and Florida Bar requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of experience in medical lien resolution, reductions, or settlement negotiation within a personal injury firm or related environment.
• Experience managing at least five direct or indirect reports.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving meaningful reductions on medical balances and liens.
• Bilingual English/Spanish (spoken and written) and a paralegal certificate or related bachelor’s degree.

Required skills

• Advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g., Excel).
