Director, Product Management - Tokenized Deposits

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy, development, and commercialization of its tokenized deposit capabilities. This senior role will shape how commercial bank money is brought onto programmable infrastructure, enabling new digital payment and settlement solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for tokenized deposits, translating market and customer needs into scalable products.
• Lead product development across the full lifecycle, including issuance, transfer, programmability, interoperability, acceptance, clearing, and settlement.
• Partner with engineering, legal, compliance, risk, regional teams, financial institutions, and technology providers to move capabilities from concept through pilot, launch, and scale.
• Engage customers and ecosystem partners to identify use cases, validate requirements, structure pilots, and drive adoption.
• Establish product operating models, governance, integration approaches, and implementation guidance for secure participation by banks and partners.

Required profile

• Significant product management experience in digital assets, payments, or banking infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of crypto, blockchain networks, smart contracts, wallets, custody, tokenization, and integration with traditional banking systems.
• Engineering background with ability to work closely on APIs, distributed ledgers, security models, and platform architecture.
• Experience translating complex technical concepts into clear product strategies and documentation.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional delivery across engineering, legal, compliance, risk, and commercialization teams.
