Director of Service Product & Business Growth (Etch Service BU)

About the role

This role is responsible for the business aspects of Applied Materials' Etch Service Business Unit – Service Product Segment, including service product roadmap definition, product lifecycle initiation and customer‑specific service growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Translate market analysis, equipment forecasts, installed‑base data and customer performance into service product requirements and roadmap priorities.
• Lead the team to define portfolio strategy, value proposition and ROI for new and existing service products.
• Develop customer‑facing communications that articulate features, benefits, cost‑of‑ownership impact and differentiated outcomes.
• Establish operating cadence, metrics and governance to track roadmap execution, account growth, revenue, margin and penetration.
• Lead business‑development managers to create and execute account‑level service growth plans based on customer voice, opportunity and competitive positioning.
• Own analytics for service growth forecasting, penetration rates and margin performance.

Required profile

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years in semiconductor equipment, wafer fabrication, Etch or service business.
• Proven experience leading product‑management or commercial/business‑development teams.
• Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into product roadmaps, service offerings and commercial strategies.
• Strong financial acumen including business cases, revenue forecasting, margin analytics, pricing and ROI/value selling.
• Excellent communication skills to convey service product value to internal stakeholders, field teams and external customers.

• Salary range: $210,000 – $289,000 per year.
