Director of Quality Assurance – Residential Facilities

About the role

The Director of Quality Assurance – Residential Facilities leads the Quality Assurance and Compliance Program for BayMark Health Services’ residential division. This senior position ensures continuous monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of quality activities, aligning them with regulatory, accreditation, and payer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Quality Assurance and Compliance Program, ensuring alignment with organizational quality goals.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA systems and procedures to meet regulatory, accreditation, and payer requirements.
• Monitor, evaluate, and refine QA activities across residential and outpatient sites.
• Serve as primary liaison to CARF, The Joint Commission (TJC), state licensing agencies, and payer organizations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure detection and prevention of illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
• Maintain retaliation‑free reporting channels, including anonymous mechanisms for compliance concerns.
• Coordinate with Human Resources on policies, performance evaluations, and incentive programs supporting compliance.
• Oversee investigations related to QA concerns, working with legal counsel as needed.
• Delegate tasks, set priorities, and monitor team progress to meet compliance standards.
• Prepare and present periodic and annual QA program reports to senior leadership.
• Ensure facility‑level QA reporting is completed monthly or more frequently when required.
• Maintain and update the company compliance manual and deliver compliance training in partnership with HR.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in quality assurance and compliance within a healthcare setting.
• Extensive knowledge of regulatory, accreditation (CARF, TJC) and payer standards.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills to provide insights for strategic planning.
• Ability to develop and deliver compliance training programs.
• Experience coordinating with legal, HR, and external regulatory bodies.
