Director of Logistics

About the role

ON.energy is seeking a Director of Logistics to lead the end‑to‑end logistics function across its AI‑focused power infrastructure projects. Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain, the role will shape logistics strategy, manage carrier relationships and ensure seamless delivery of heavy industrial equipment worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own logistics strategy for domestic and international freight, import/export compliance, and last‑mile delivery.
• Establish SOPs, tools, templates and KPIs for the logistics function.
• Partner with Project Management, Master Scheduling and Procurement to align logistics execution with project milestones.
• Provide logistics input during project planning, including freight cost modeling, lead‑time analysis and risk identification.
• Own escalation and recovery planning for logistics disruptions.
• Support customer site delivery planning for complex, staged or access‑constrained installations.
• Report executive‑level logistics performance, risk landscape and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strategic relationships with freight forwarders, 3PLs, heavy‑haul carriers, customs brokers and port agents.
• Directly manage and develop a team of Logistics Coordinators, defining structure, headcount and role responsibilities.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in logistics for heavy industrial or engineered‑to‑order equipment.
• Strong track record of building and scaling logistics functions in fast‑growing environments.
• Ability to work closely with executive leadership on risk, capital spend and organizational growth.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
