Director, Supply Chain Operations

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing branded‑products business to hire a Director of Supply Chain Operations. This senior leader will shape the strategy and execution of a largely outsourced distribution network, ensuring the right balance of service, speed, cost, and capacity across B2B and direct‑to‑consumer channels.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain a distribution and fulfillment roadmap that aligns with business growth and service targets.
• Evaluate and redesign the warehouse footprint, carrier mix, shipping methods, and cost‑to‑serve models.
• Lead governance of 3PLs, warehouses, carriers and other external partners through performance metrics, business reviews and corrective actions.
• Oversee fulfillment performance across multiple channels, improving service levels, cycle times, compliance and capacity utilization.
• Build and develop a distributed team responsible for execution, logistics coordination and partner performance.
• Establish clear ownership, decision rights and escalation paths across the function.
• Partner with Sales, Demand Planning, Purchasing, Finance, Technology and logistics providers to resolve cross‑functional constraints.
• Prepare the network for new customers, product launches, promotions and seasonal peaks.
• Drive improvements in systems, reporting, integrations and workflows for better visibility and faster decisions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in supply chain operations, distribution, fulfillment or a closely related field.
• Minimum 3 years of direct people‑management experience with a record of setting expectations and developing talent.
• Proven experience leading fulfillment across multiple channels, including major retail and e‑commerce or direct‑to‑consumer.
• Direct responsibility for managing 3PL, warehouse, carrier and external logistics relationships.
