Director of Events

About the role

Billtrust is seeking a senior leader to design and execute a next‑generation events strategy that blends intimate executive experiences with large‑scale tradeshows and partner events. Reporting to the VP of Revenue Marketing, you will own the full events portfolio and lead a growing team of field marketers.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end strategy, planning and execution of curated executive field programs for CFO and VP‑level audiences across the U.S. and Western Europe.
• Lead major internal events such as the annual Sales Kickoff and Presidents Club, managing agenda, venue logistics and executive programming.
• Partner with product, sales and C‑suite leaders to design customer‑facing product launches, advisory sessions and innovation showcases.
• Build and manage a team of field marketers, driving AI adoption in event planning and reporting workflows.
• Measure event impact on pipeline acceleration, install‑base expansion and cost‑per‑senior‑executive‑engaged, reporting results to the CMO and CRO.

Required profile

• 10+ years of B2B field marketing, event management or demand generation experience, focused on senior executive audiences.
• Proven ability to plan and execute high‑touch executive events with measurable business outcomes.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, comfortable working with Sales, CRO, Product and C‑suite stakeholders.
• Experience hiring, coaching and scaling a team of event or field marketing professionals.

Required skills

• Event technology platforms such as Splash, Cvent, HubSpot and Salesforce.
• AI tools for automating logistics, personalized communications and post‑event data synthesis.
• Budget management and vendor negotiation.
