Director of Client Solutions

About the role

The National Energy Foundation seeks an enthusiastic Director of Client Solutions to lead business development and partnership building across the energy sector. This role can be based in Salt Lake City or fully remote for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and pursue growth opportunities with utilities, state energy programs, private foundations, and technology companies.
• Direct business development activities in energy efficiency, electric transportation, workforce development, water efficiency and related areas.
• Supervise client solutions, business development and marketing communications staff.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM for lead generation, follow‑up and partnership acquisition.
• Travel 6‑12 times per year to conferences, sales and fundraising meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus.
• 7+ years of client solutions/business development experience, preferably in energy and utilities.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience in the same sector.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Salesforce CRM system.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
