About the role
The Director, Managed Care provides strategic and tactical support to UHealth leadership, driving partnerships with payers, provider organizations, and other healthcare stakeholders to ensure long‑term competitive positioning.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for volume growth, market‑share expansion, and strategic payer partnerships.
- Lead financial modeling, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring for hospital and physician managed‑care agreements.
- Coordinate multi‑disciplinary program development and oversee network contracting, provider roster management, and special projects.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and payer policies to protect and grow market position.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in managed care, health economics, or related fields.
- Proven ability to align departmental goals with enterprise strategy and lead high‑performing teams.
- Strong financial management and resource allocation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
Required skills
- Financial modeling and analysis.

- Understanding of value‑based reimbursement arrangements.
