Pharmacy Technician

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician will work under the direction of a licensed Staff Pharmacist in the Nuclear Pharmacy division, preparing radiopharmaceuticals and supporting daily pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and staff in preparing the facility for daily operations, including cleaning, equipment checks, and quality control testing.
• Collect and process customer orders, ensuring efficient communication and timely delivery of medications.
• Perform administrative pharmacy tasks, answer questions, and support customer satisfaction.
• Maintain pharmacy safety by completing daily infection control procedures.

Required profile

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent; National pharmacy technician registration preferred.
• Licensed in the state of Louisiana.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform repetitive motions.

Required skills

• IV experience (preferred).
• Intermediate computer skills (use of computers and tablets).
• Manual dexterity for handling small objects and dispensing doses.
