Director II Safety Quality Patient Experience - South

About the role

The Director II leads safety, quality, and patient experience across a submarket, serving as the onsite leader for the largest hospital in that area. The role ensures compliance, drives improvement initiatives, and supports facility leaders with accreditation and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Direct SQPE activities across the submarket and lead onsite SQPE at the largest hospital.
• Ensure compliance with reporting, accreditation, and governance requirements.
• Monitor clinical outcomes, identify improvement opportunities, and lead improvement projects.
• Assist facility leaders with survey preparation and regulatory accreditation.
• Coordinate public reporting of quality data and serve as liaison with reporting agencies.
• Oversee staff development, performance evaluations, hiring, and budget management for direct reporting areas.

Required profile

• Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant healthcare management experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of progressive experience.
• Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required.
• Experience with hospital SQPE requirements and ability to lead multi‑site initiatives.

Required skills

• Certification: Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
• Preferred certifications: RN, Certified Patient Safety Professional (CPPS), Healthcare Accreditation Certification Program (HACP), Certified Joint Commission Professional (CJCP), process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma), infection control, Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP).
