Director, Government Partnerships

About the role

Reflect Orbital is seeking a Director of Government Partnerships to expand U.S. government sales, build on existing SBIR relationships, win new customers, and convert early contracts into repeat business.

Key responsibilities

• Own government sales targets, develop account plans, and grow revenue from new and existing customers.
• Manage the sales pipeline, prioritize opportunities, and maintain clear forecasts and timelines.
• Lead proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations in collaboration with engineering, legal, and finance.
• Pursue follow‑on contracts from active SBIR projects and identify new funding pathways.
• Coordinate with VP of Policy, engineering, legal, finance, and IT to meet contract requirements and deliver solutions.
• Represent Reflect Orbital at industry events and meet prospective government customers.

Required profile

• 7+ years in government sales, capture, or business development with a proven record of winning federal contracts.
• Strong understanding of federal buying processes, funding sources, and contracting vehicles.
• Established relationships with government customers, program offices, and contracting teams, especially in defense or energy.
• Experience managing a sales pipeline, forecasting awards, and expanding existing accounts.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
