Dietary Aide – Evening Shift

About the role
The Dietary Aide supports the Patient Food Services area at Mercy Hospital, ensuring patients have clean dishes and proper nutrition to aid recovery. This evening position works from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM, including every other weekend.
Key responsibilities
- Distribute prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests, and catered events.
- Set up and deliver patient trays and nourishment accurately.
- Handle portion control for food and beverage items.
- Follow therapeutic diet guidelines and department procedures.
- Rotate food products, store leftovers properly, and label/date items.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least six months of food service experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and perform physical tasks.
- Compliance with standard precautions and personal protective equipment.
Required skills
- Knowledge of equipment operations.
- Basic cooking skills.
- Ohio Food Safety certification.
