DevOps Systems Engineer

About the role

Esri is seeking a self‑motivated DevOps Systems Engineer to support public‑cloud environments and advance DevSecOps automation across the enterprise. You will work with the latest cloud platforms, container technologies, and monitoring tools to streamline operational workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain operational components in AWS, Azure and private cloud environments.
• Create tools and processes that improve operational workflows and enable self‑service for developers.
• Configure and deploy containerized micro‑service workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain production applications and infrastructure across multiple cloud providers and regions.
• Work with development teams to optimise build, test and deployment pipelines.
• Develop monitoring, alerting and trending tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for cloud environments.
• Provide day‑to‑day support, including deployment, patching, administration and 24/7 on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in infrastructure management and automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related STEM field.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for learning new technologies.

Required skills

• AWS and Azure cloud services.
• UNIX/Linux environments.
• Configuration management (Puppet or Chef).
• Scripting in Python and PowerShell.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Version control with Git.
• Infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS).
• Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
