DevOps Engineer (Tier 3) - Government Contract

About the role

Leidos is seeking a DevOps Engineer (Tier 3) to support a government contract in the National Capital Region (NCR). The engineer supports, maintains and develops custom software applications and services, writing source code in various programming languages and running on Windows and Linux environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and/or modify custom applications and scripts across multiple platforms
• Maintain custom software applications and services
• Recommend and implement improvements to existing software solutions
• Maintain system architecture for consistency across platforms
• Contribute to software configuration and system documentation, build roadmaps and updates
• Attend meetings and reviews
• Communicate with internal team members, the program manager and customer teams, and with mission partners and vendors

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
• Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's with at least 6 years; 12+ years of relevant experience may replace the degree
• Demonstrated custom development on Linux servers and appliances
• 3+ years of experience with Rust and/or Python (Rust strongly preferred)
• Experience with Ansible automation, Docker containers and custom application codebases
• Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills, and ability to document and share information

Pay range: $107,900 - $195,050.
