Senior Solutions Architect - Cloud & Integration (GSA Contract)

About the role

Global InfoTek is seeking a Solutions Architect to support a General Services Administration (GSA) contract. The role bridges complex business problems with enterprise-level technical solutions and acts as the technical authority for cloud infrastructure, networking and commercial software integrations. It is based in Reston, VA, requires a Secret clearance and US citizenship, and pays $132,000 to $199,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Design highly available, scalable and fault-tolerant cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and secure network topologies.
• Architect and oversee complex integrations between enterprise systems, COTS products and legacy databases.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies and enterprise-wide security boundaries.
• Create and maintain architectural documentation, including system contexts, data flows and technical blueprints.
• Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices and security guidelines across the engineering lifecycle.
• Evaluate new technologies, tools and vendor products for feasibility and value.
• Mentor and guide senior and mid-level cloud and systems engineers.

Required profile

• 5-7 years of relevant experience; experience may be considered in place of the education requirement.
• Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in IT engineering, cloud architecture and technical leadership.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical executives.
• Deep understanding of system design, scalability and zero-trust security principles.

Required skills

• Infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and a DevSecOps framework.
• Preferred: federal/DoD security compliance (RMF, FedRAMP) and enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, DoDAF).
• Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
