Deployment Strategist, New Business

About the role

The Deployment Strategist, New Business will lead the definition, implementation and operational success of Rivet’s solutions with new customers. This entrepreneurial position creates and validates market opportunities, turning customer demand into multi‑million‑dollar programs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customer segments, markets and use cases where Rivet’s technology solves high‑value problems.
• Validate market theses through direct engagement with customers, understanding pain points, buying dynamics and competitive landscape.
• Build relationships with prospective customers, secure champions, and generate demand for Rivet’s solutions.
• Partner with commercial and engineering teams to translate needs into technical proposals, deployment strategies and executable plans.
• Own opportunities from hypothesis through pilot definition, proposal and program expansion, targeting $M‑scale pilots in 6 months and $MM‑scale programs in 18 months.

Required profile

• 5+ years in customer‑facing roles such as business development, technical sales, strategy or program execution for complex technology solutions.
• Proven ability to identify problems, develop commercial theses and convert them into successful engagements.
• Experience selling or deploying complex technology within DoD or industrial enterprises; aerospace/defense background preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to build trust with senior technical, operational and executive stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel 35‑70% and ability to obtain or hold a U.S. security clearance.

Required skills

• Experience with technical proposals, statements of work (SOW) development and capture efforts.
• Strong understanding of complex technology solutions for defense or industrial markets.
