Delivery Specialist

About the role

O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring a Delivery Specialist for its store in Henderson, Nevada. The person maintains and operates store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers safely and efficiently, collects cash on C.O.D. deliveries and picks up customer returns. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained, and complete daily inspections before operating.
• Keep vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices and collected money secure at all times.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out the driver return slip.
• Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management and report maintenance needs, accidents or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Fill the fuel tank and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the day, clocking in and out per company policy.
• Additional duties as assigned, such as customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, running errands, checking in stock orders, and occasionally helping customers, acting as cashier or assisting with sales and service.

Required profile

• Able to quickly match alphanumeric sequences and communicate well with others.
• Adapts quickly to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record meets the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Legally required state driver's license and meeting of company driving eligibility requirements.
• Desired: familiarity with automotive parts, ability to operate other light store equipment, and fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
