Delivery Specialist

About the role

O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring a Delivery Specialist for its Waseca, Minnesota store. The person maintains and operates store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers safely and efficiently, collects cash on C.O.D. deliveries and picks up customer returns. The pay range is $10.85 to $18.00 per hour, with possible premiums depending on schedule, facility, season or work performed.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
• Use delivery fleet handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained, and keep vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, handheld devices and collected money secure.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores) and fill out the driver return slip.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents or damage to the store manager immediately, and ensure the fuel tank is filled and the vehicle locked at the end of the day.
• Clock in and out according to company policy and communicate customer problems to store management.
• Additional duties as assigned, such as customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, running errands, cashiering and helping with sales and service.

Required profile

• Able to quickly match alphanumeric sequences and to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• A legally required state driver's license meeting company driving eligibility requirements; driving record must meet the company's 14/18-point record system.

Required skills

• Familiarity with automotive parts is desired.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment is desired.
• Fluency in multiple languages is desired; Spanish is highly desired.
