Data Analyst, People Products

About the role

At Tesla, the People Analytics team provides data‑driven insights that shape recruiting and HR strategy. We are looking for a Data Analyst, People Products to build reporting models, improve our in‑house tools, and partner with engineers to deliver reliable, actionable data.

Key responsibilities

• Apply a product‑centric approach to data and reporting, creating user‑friendly documentation and rigorous data tests.
• Design, build, and maintain data models that ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
• Collect, analyze, and present data from diverse sources to identify hiring trends and performance indicators.
• Communicate findings clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Identify gaps in upstream systems, collaborate with owners to implement changes, and ensure accurate downstream reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with recruiting or people teams, or strong knowledge of the full‑cycle recruiting process.
• Proficiency with relational databases and SQL.
• Understanding of CI/CD workflows and automated testing.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong analytical and first‑principles problem‑solving skills.
