Quality Assurance Engineer (Payroll & Benefits)

About the role

Your payroll expertise is the product. Most QA roles test what someone built, but this role requires deep knowledge of payroll and benefits to anticipate issues before code exists. PrismHR powers HR, payroll, and benefits for PEOs and ASOs across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run test scenarios based on real user behavior.
• Build realistic test data and own test strategy and risk for projects.
• Report status clearly to support release decisions.
• Raise domain fluency across the QA team.
• Collaborate early in requirements and design phases.

Required profile

• 2+ years hands‑on PEO, payroll, or benefits administration experience (required).
• Solid QA practice including test case design, defect reporting, and Agile testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis instincts.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with the PrismHR platform.

Required skills

• Automation testing exposure.
• Knowledge of multi‑state US payroll tax.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms.
• Familiarity with HCM platforms.
• PrismHR platform experience.
