Customer Onboarding Specialist

About the role

Tofu, an early‑stage generative AI startup in the San Mateo Bay Area, is seeking a proactive Customer Onboarding Specialist to guide new enterprise clients through the first months of using its hyper‑personalized marketing platform. The role blends customer success, technical troubleshooting, and product feedback to accelerate ROI and adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with each new customer to build their first campaigns and demonstrate quick ROI.
• Own the end‑to‑end onboarding process, ensuring customers become active users within the first few months.
• Collaborate with Sales to tailor onboarding experiences to each client’s unique needs.
• Conduct regular check‑ins and ad‑hoc meetings to gather feedback, answer questions, and support product usage.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to resolve technical issues and relay bugs.
• Help refine the Ideal Customer Profile and inform overall sales strategy.

Required profile

• 3+ years of enterprise CSM, account management, or onboarding experience, preferably in marketing or sales technology.
• Proven track record of driving customer adoption and success in SaaS environments.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Data‑driven mindset with meticulous documentation skills.
• Empathetic, patient, and comfortable working with technical concepts.
