Critical Care Float RN – Full-Time with Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

The Critical Care Float Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care across multiple critical care units, including ICU, Emergency Department, and various medical‑surgical areas. This full‑time, P‑Shift position offers a float differential and a sign‑on bonus up to $30,000.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high‑quality nursing care following hospital policies on infection prevention, patient handling, and critical lab notifications.
• Maintain and care for central lines, prevent surgical site infections, and administer medications and treatments.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, document care activities, and communicate findings to physicians and the care team.
• Educate patients and families, delegate tasks appropriately, and support a collaborative team environment.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN license in Missouri (or compact licensure).
• One year of nursing experience preferred; new graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb and perform frequent walking, standing, and patient handling.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
