Credit Risk Specialist / Senior – Bank Supervision

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is looking for a Credit Risk Specialist (and Senior Credit Risk Specialist) to join its Supervision, Regulation and Credit (SRC) team. The position supports the supervision of state member banks, bank holding companies and other financial institutions across the Third District, focusing on credit risk assessment and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct credit reviews and evaluate credit risk management practices at community and regional banks.
• Develop examination and project plans, set timelines and milestones for complex supervisory events.
• Apply advanced analytical, problem‑solving and independent decision‑making skills in the credit risk domain.
• Prepare clear, concise examination reports that convey opinions, conclusions and persuasive arguments.
• Participate in meetings and briefings with bank management, boards of directors and internal stakeholders.
• Build relationships with supervisory risk specialists across the Federal Reserve System and with senior management of supervised institutions.
• Contribute to system‑wide initiatives and collaborate with other Reserve Banks, the Board of Governors and regulatory agencies.

Required profile

• Subject‑matter expertise in credit risk, with a strong understanding of banking regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically, work independently and communicate complex findings effectively in writing.
• Experience interacting with senior bank officials and presenting technical information to diverse audiences.
• Proactive collaboration skills for working with cross‑functional supervisory teams.
