Court Services Officer I – 25th Judicial District

About the role

The Kansas Judicial Branch is seeking a Court Services Officer I to supervise adult and juvenile offenders placed on probation by the 25th Judicial District Court. You will work directly with clients, prepare investigative and progress reports, and connect individuals with community resources.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise offenders on probation, ensuring compliance with court orders.
• Prepare detailed adult and juvenile investigative reports, transfer reports, progress updates, and violation notices.
• Maintain accurate records of client contacts and overall caseload.
• Identify client needs and refer them to appropriate agencies for assistance.
• Collaborate with community partners to leverage available resources.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited four‑year college with a major in corrections, counseling, criminology, psychology, social work, or sociology.
• Current Judicial Branch employee with experience in court or probation work (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Required skills

• Computer literacy and experience with standard office software.
