Senior Counsel – Regulatory Investigations & Enforcement

About the role

FanDuel is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead regulatory investigations and enforcement actions across its U.S. and Canadian gaming products. Reporting to the Director of Regulatory Engagement, you will work with a team of legal and regulatory professionals to manage inquiries, complaints, and regulator relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage investigations involving regulatory inquiries, incidents, and escalated customer complaints across responsible gaming, fraud, payments, marketing, risk, and other areas.
• Own documentation, auditing, controls, metrics, and reporting related to regulatory matters.
• Partner with internal operations to integrate regulatory obligations, transparency, and controls.
• Coordinate with business lines for horizon scanning and proactive issue resolution.
• Assist with engagement and relationship building with regulators and market‑access partners in regulated states.
• Provide legal analysis and guidance on state regulatory requirements, subpoenas, search warrants, garnishments, and liens.

Required profile

• JD from a top law school and member in good standing of at least one state bar.
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience focused on investigations or regulatory enforcement, preferably with state regulatory or enforcement bodies.
• Demonstrated experience engaging and advocating with regulators, including mandatory reporting requirements.
• Strong legal research, problem‑solving, policy analysis, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and strategic communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, start‑up environment and collaborate across stakeholders.
