County Extension Agent – Family & Consumer Science/4-H

About the role

The County Extension Agent – Family & Consumer Science/4-H will design and deliver community‑based educational programs that empower individuals and families in nutrition, health, food safety, and economic self‑sufficiency across Columbia County, Arkansas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present practical workshops and outreach activities on nutrition, family well‑being, health, and food safety.
• Collaborate with local volunteers and 4‑H youth to increase program participation.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the county’s social, economic, and political landscape.
• Serve as a liaison with community leaders, agencies, and government entities.
• Assess community needs, prepare reports, and adjust programs accordingly.
• Manage program budgets, resources, and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of local community characteristics and extension services.
