County Extension Agent - Family & Consumer Science/4-H

About the role

The County Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Science/4‑H will design and deliver community‑based educational programs that support nutrition, family well‑being, health, food safety, economic self‑sufficiency and youth development across the county.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present practical workshops and resources for individuals, families and community groups.
• Collaborate with local volunteers and stakeholders to encourage participation and support.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the county’s social, economic and political landscape.
• Act as a liaison between the university’s Extension Service and the county community.

• Strong understanding of the county’s social, economic and political characteristics.
• Ability to engage a broad audience and work effectively with volunteers.
• Commitment to empowering individuals and families through education.
