Controller

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to lead the financial operations of our rapidly growing HVAC company. In this permanent position you will oversee corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and the development of internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare, coordinate, and publish monthly financial statements and regulatory reports.
• Develop and maintain annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections, analyzing variances.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain internal controls, document accounting policies, and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Supervise the accounting team, providing leadership, training, and performance management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of senior accounting experience, preferably in construction or HVAC.
• Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent written and verbal communication.
