Senior Accountant – Brokerage & Member Incentives

About the role

The Senior Accountant will develop, analyze, and execute accounting and finance functions that support brokerage and member incentive operations. This fully remote position focuses on month‑end close, variance analysis, and preparation of managerial and financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Support brokerage and member incentive accounting, including monthly journal entry preparation and variance analysis.
• Upload journal entries into PeopleSoft and drive month‑end close activities through business day six.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and reconcile income statements, trial balances, and other financial reports for assigned functional areas.
• Prepare management and financial reporting to advise on the organization’s financial status.
• Develop analytical tools for critical balance‑sheet accounts and recommend enhancements to accounting methods.
• Implement, modify, and document accounting systems, adapting to current technology.
• Maintain and roll forward Excel‑based reporting files and pursue process improvements through automation and Copilot.
• Research accounting issues and participate in due‑diligence, integration, and technical accounting projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in public accounting or the healthcare industry.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced month‑end close cycle, including additional hours during the first six business days of the month.
