Regional Mortgage Operations Manager

About the role

The Regional Mortgage Operations Manager will lead day‑to‑day sales and production operations for the distributed channel, ensuring that strategies, policies and guidelines are effectively implemented. This position works closely with Regional Sales Managers and public agencies to drive mortgage production and enhance the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead team efforts to meet key performance indicators and implement procedures that exceed goals.
• Manage work hours, FTEs and pipelines to control costs while balancing workload.
• Respond to monthly quality‑control findings and develop improvement plans.
• Prepare monthly metrics reports, including staff changes and utilization rates.
• Calculate and process monthly incentive payments for HR.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to achieve departmental objectives.
• Develop relationships with public agencies to expand CRA lending.
• Exercise credit judgment, perform pricing and underwriting exceptions, and ensure compliance with investor, insurer, and regulatory policies.

Required profile

• 5‑6 years of experience in business, finance or related fields, with a proven ability to lead teams and drive results.
• Strong analytical skills to identify problems, evaluate information and propose innovative solutions.
• Ability to allocate resources effectively and make timely decisions within given authority.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in understanding and applying procedures, regulations and company policies.
