Commercial Appraisal Reviewer

About the role

The Commercial Appraisal Reviewer supports Santander's Appraisal Department by analyzing complex appraisal issues, ensuring compliance, and assisting the Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Solicit bids and engage fee appraisers for appraisal assignments.
• Independently review real estate appraisal reports, preparing Standard 3 or compliance reviews.
• Ensure appraisals meet federal, state, and professional standards and Santander's policies.
• Assist with internal and external audits, ad‑hoc projects, and analyses.
• Act as a resource for third‑party appraisal vendors and provide advisory support to bank colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate appraisal, appraisal review, or related work within a regulated financial institution.
• State Certified General Appraiser license in good standing.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Required skills

• Experience with appraisal management software such as C360 or RIMS.
• Proficiency in ARGUS Enterprise for financial modeling of commercial properties.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, compliance regulations, and Microsoft Office 365.
