Coffee Cart Attendant (On Call)

About the role

Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center, a full-service resort and meeting destination in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, is hiring an on-call Coffee Cart Attendant. The role prepares or serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, smoothies and teas, and serves food and beverage and retail merchandise to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing assignments as assigned by management
• Take and make ice cream, coffee and food orders accurately and quickly, following the prescribed procedure
• Answer guest questions about menu items, specials and prices
• Prepare and deliver coffee, beverage and food orders
• Check food for appearance, temperature and portion size before serving
• Apply teamwork skills and assist co-workers when possible

Required profile

• Great customer service and communication skills
• Ability to receive and process customer payments in the POS system
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Food Handler's Card and TIPS certification upon hire

Required skills

• POS payment processing
• Knowledge of espresso and cappuccino machines is a plus
