Coffee Cart Attendant

About the role

Loews Arlington Hotel, part of Loews Hotels & Co., is hiring a friendly, service-driven Coffee Cart Attendant for its coffee cart. The team member delivers high-quality coffee, beverages and snacks to guests, processes transactions accurately and keeps the cart clean and organized in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, taking and preparing orders accurately and efficiently.
• Craft and serve hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks and specialty coffees, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Stock and serve light snacks, pastries and pre-packaged items while keeping them fresh.
• Operate the POS system to process transactions, handle cash responsibly, reconcile the cash drawer and apply pricing and promotional discounts correctly.
• Monitor inventory of coffee, syrups, snacks and supplies, communicate low stock to the supervisor and replenish as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized cart and surrounding area, complying with hygiene and sanitation standards, and clean and sanitize equipment such as coffee machines and grinders.
• Assist with opening and closing duties and other food and beverage operations when needed, and perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, from espresso drinks to specialty beverages.
• Guest-focused service with warm, clear communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Basic math skills and experience with POS systems.
• Previous food and beverage experience, especially coffee service, is highly preferred.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during a shift.
