CNC Machinist – Additive Manufacturing (Mold Parts)

About the role

Michelin is hiring an AMS Machinist (CNC Machinist CPV) at US6 Greenville to produce mold components in the Additive Manufacturing (metal 3D printing) area. The position focuses on making mold parts on CNC machines according to the production plan, while respecting safety, quality, quantity and lead time. Applicants must pass the entry-level machinist test and progress to MP2T.

Key responsibilities

• Produce mold parts on CNC machines according to the production plan.
• Monitor equipment condition and performance, set up corrective actions and suggest improvements.
• Manufacture and/or assemble mold parts to drawings using NC and manual machines and fixtures, and by direct machining.
• Set up and operate NC and manual equipment; measure mold parts with gauges and do hand work.
• Maintain good housekeeping, follow post documentation, record daily information and respect quality standards.
• Work in a flexible schedule, including overtime and call-in, depending on business needs.

Required profile

• Previous machining experience is required.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, symbols and specifications for mold parts.
• Capability in mathematics and geometry.
• Able to achieve MP2T within 36 months; technical assessment may be required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts, including overtime and call-in.
• Must be able to perform duties with limited supervision and respect safety and quality rules.
