Clinical Technician - Telemetry and Neurology

About the role

The Telemetry/Neurology Unit at Tradition Hospital monitors patients with neurological conditions, many of whom are post‑stroke patients transitioning from higher‑acuity units. As a Clinical Technician you will support caregivers and medical staff, providing direct patient care under RN supervision during night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide or assist with patient care, including vital signs, weight, personal care, activities of daily living, patient transfers, pulse oximetry, point‑of‑care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices, and phlebotomy.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to an RN.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms.
• Complete an internal training program within two weeks of the start date.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required upon hire or within the new‑hire period).
• Preferred: one year recent full‑time patient care experience, additional education/training, nursing student with clinical rotation, or military medical experience (Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, Medical Service Technician).
• Physical ability to move patients, stand and walk extensively, and lift up to 100 lb occasionally.
