Civil/Structural Designer (BIM/Revit Modeler)

About the role

The Shaw Group is seeking a Civil/Structural Designer to create 2D and 3D design deliverables for modular steel structures, piping, electrical components, and equipment foundations. This position supports our industrial fabrication projects and works closely with multi‑discipline engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide design guidance and define project scope.
• Respond to communications and maintain cross‑discipline coordination.
• Perform self‑checks on design outputs.
• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for civil and structural elements.
• Create material take‑offs and optimize designs for layout and transport.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or drafting certificate.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Plant 3D, and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with AISC, ASME, PIP, and OSHA standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF tools.
