Chief Operating Officer – Lead Operations for Indiana Sports Corp

About the role

The Indiana Sports Corp is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to provide enterprise‑wide operational leadership and translate strategic priorities into disciplined execution. Reporting to the President and serving on the senior leadership team, the COO will ensure that people, priorities, and resources align around high‑visibility moments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership across core operations and internal business practices.
• Translate organizational priorities into clear plans, ownership, timelines, and accountability.
• Create effective operating rhythms across the leadership team and organization.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Allocate resources to the highest‑priority work and lead complex multi‑department initiatives.
• Strengthen planning, project management, and organizational discipline while avoiding unnecessary processes.
• Partner closely with the President on performance, execution, and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in sports, live events, entertainment, hospitality, tourism, venues, collegiate athletics, nonprofit, or similar complex organizations.
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex operations and simplifying complexity.
• Exceptional organizational judgment, people leadership, and talent‑development skills.
• Comfort working in a fast‑moving, highly visible environment with competing priorities.
• Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to build trust with staff, executives, board members, and external partners.
