Chief of Staff, Senior Vice President

About the role

The Chief of Staff serves as a strategic advisor and operational partner to the President and First Vice President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. This senior leader coordinates enterprise priorities, advances cross‑functional initiatives, supports governance, and ensures alignment across the Bank and the broader Federal Reserve System.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor on strategic priorities, organizational effectiveness, and enterprise decision‑making.
• Anticipate emerging issues, identify risks and opportunities, and bring critical decisions to executive attention.
• Develop executive briefings, analyses, recommendations, and decision‑support materials.
• Facilitate strategic planning, organizational alignment, and leadership team performance.
• Oversee the Strategy and Bank Performance team to drive execution of key initiatives.
• Support governance processes and executive operations to enhance overall effectiveness.

• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and influence without formal authority.
• Experience operating at the highest levels of organizational leadership.
• Strong judgment, executive facilitation, and organizational influence skills.
