About the role

The Illinois Department of Transportation is hiring a Certification Section Manager (Transportation Executive III) to lead the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification program. This role oversees the certification process for small businesses seeking participation in federally and state‑funded transportation projects.

Key responsibilities

Manage the Certification Section, ensuring all new and recertification applicants meet program requirements.
Coordinate intra‑ and inter‑agency certification activities to maintain accurate DBE certifications.
Supervise staff, organize workflow, and evaluate section performance.
Serve as the primary point of contact for DBE applicants and stakeholders.

Required profile

Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
Bilingual skills are welcome; ability to work in a diverse, collaborative environment.
