About the role

The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in a fast‑paced interventional environment, delivering life‑saving treatments and supporting patients and families throughout procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medications, conscious sedation, and emergent drugs safely during procedures.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, document vital signs, cardiac rhythms, medications, and supplies used.
• Communicate pertinent information to physicians, team members, patients, and families to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Participate in quality monitoring, process improvement activities, and adhere to infection‑prevention and safety policies.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN license in Missouri (or compact licensure).
• At least one year of critical‑care or equivalent nursing experience; cardiac cath lab experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 lb, and wear lead aprons.

Required skills

• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Knowledge of conscious sedation and peri‑procedural pharmacologic agents.
• Understanding of hemodynamic waveforms and data analysis.
